Lexus LF-A returning to 24-hour Nurburgring Race, more production model details released

Lexus announced today that the two-seater LF-A Prototype will be returning to the 24-Hour Nurburgring Race. Lexus says that the race version of the LF-A that will enter the race will be “developed with an eye toward commercial release.”

Engineers will be on hand to use feedback from the grueling race to further enhance the production LF-A’s performance.

Power for the LF-A competing in the 24-Hour Nurburgring Race comes from a 4.8L V10 engine making more than 500-hp. The Lexus LF-A will race under the team name – GAZOO Racing.
