What DOES go a LOOOOOONG way to improve Fords image is that it did NOT take any government bailout like Chrysler and GM. It is virtually impossible for me to ever buy any of these two brands because of the low road taken.

GM, Chrysler: There's nothing I can do about giving away my tax money for your bailout plan, but there is something i can do about making sure you do not take any more of my money by boycotting your inefficient practices, mediocre products and now what little positive image you had is further tarnished by you TAKING our hard earned taxes when you should have gone BANKRUPT.

But it does prove that America can make cars as good as anyone, if you have good management, focus (no pun intended) on Quality not quantity and Deal realistically with creditors and unions.

And they haven't started selling their best car here in the US yet!!!
