Ford today showed off its Family One Concept at the 2009 New York Auto Show based on the Transit Connect. The five-seater minivan, focused around children, is built on the Transit Connect global platform and hints at a future vehicle to keep the kids engaged and entertained.

Power comes from a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine that enables the Family One Concept to return a fuel-economy of 22/25 mpg (city/highway).

Check out the interesting live high-res photos after the jump.

it's actually quite interesting now that i can see it in live...before i thought it was a bit pointless. however i think they should try to optimize it for more than 5 passengers
