GM today took the wraps off of the 2010 GMC Terrain here at the 2009 New York Auto Show. The 2010 Terrain will hit dealerships later this summer and will be available with front or all-wheel-drive and in two trim levels including SLE and SLT.

The smaller, fuel-efficient addition to the GMC lineup will be available with two engine options including an entry-level 182-hp 2.4L 4-cylinder unit which allows the Terrain to achieve 30 mpg on the highway. The range-topping model is powered by a 3.0L DOHC direct-injected V6 making 264-hp. Both 2010 Terrain models are capable of a driving range of more than 500 miles on a single tank.

Pricing will be announced at a later date.

Until they release pricing information for the different Terrain models, I really don't know how well this model will do on the market. I will admit that the highway 30mpg is impressive.

The new Highlander replacement since the new one only gets 22 mpg… Nice competition to Honda Pilot, Acura MDX, VW Tiguan, etcetera…

Such an impressive engineering feat and all you can mention is bankruptcy? At least give some props to the engineers first man.

I see more of an Escalade/Audi (tall grill) styling
