Wow, a good powertrain design from GM, whew.

My Mazda3 5 door gets 22 city 29 highway with only 156 horsepower. The new 2.5 liter for 2010 is more efficient and more powerful, but for GM to have a 2.4 liter with 182 horses and 30mpg, and better city mileage, in a big and heavy CUV like this...

Incredible. The first GM powertrain I will give kudos to in a long time.

Well I don't know how well the Equinox sells, but I haven't seen too many on the roads. Aside from the interior, I wasn't really impressed by the new Equinox, and I can't say much more for this car. So to answer your question with another; you could argue that GM should be showing us smaller cars, but after the Cruze and Volt, what else do they have to show us? Is the Beat ever coming to the U.S.? Does GM have anything in their pipeline that is going to stimulate interest and sales for the once proud General?

Oh and a message to GM: Enough with the chrome wheels ok, they look cheap and stupid. Just stick to brushed aluminium and the whole car'll look a whole lot better

agreed - the interior is very nice... sleek and luxurios...they finally got it right and let's hope it's not too late.

but quick question - do they really need to be unveiling new SUVs... smaller and cheaper cars is what they need right now

The interior is nice but are they going to be putting this into every damn car they make from now on? Insignia, Cruze, Orlando, Equinox, Terrain, and there might have been another that I missed, but honestly I don’t see GM letting up on this.
