Well isn't Gettlefinger set to retire in early 2010? He is gonna be gone pretty soon, and I have to agree with Zermatt, I don't think they will force him to retire. I think a lot of people, not just Union Workers, would be pissed if they saw Obama's inner Trump begin to show. I want Gettlefinger gone just as much as the next guy, but I don't think this is the way to do it.

The UAW as well as all those that live of our taxes are here to benefit from Obama. People who make a lot of money must have ALL cheated, obtained it unethically, and most likely exploited the poor.

Good luck with your wish there! (I would have actually taken it a bit further… eliminate Unions). As if one guy stepping down could be replaced with a BETTER one.

Gettlefinger isn't going anywhere.Obama wouldn't take any chances of pissing off union voters.

Kicking Wagoner to the curb was easy (and needed) since there is a backlash business leaders. The timing of Wagoner's dismissal was picked to show that Obama and Geithner were being tough on corporate America after the AIG bonus fiasco.

If anyone thinks that the UAW is going to be making big sacrifices after the president's strong comments is mistaken. The outcry from Congress will insure that won't happen.
