Among the many debuts we’ll see at the 2009 New York Auto Show next week will be the next-generation Jeep Grand Cherokee which shares its platform with the Mercedes-Benz M-Class.

We saw a sketch of the redesign Grand Cherokee in Chrysler’s viability plan in February. Chrysler says that the fuel-economy of the next-generation Grand Cherokee will be improved by 19 percent.

We’ll get all the details at the 2009 New York Auto Show on April 8.
