It took Roush just 11 months to complete its latest creation based on the 2010 Ford Mustang and after 11 months of impatient waiting, Roush has taken the wraps off of its 427RT Mustang. Under the hood is a Ford 4.3L V8 that has been supercharged to produce a total of 435-hp.

That gives the Roush 427RT Mustang the ability to go from 0 to 60 mph in the low 4-second range with a quarter mile run in the 12 seconds range. Going from 60 mph to 0 takes less than 115 feet.

In addition to the car, ROUSH now has more than 150 different parts which fit the 2010 Ford Mustang and allow buyers to personalize their vehicle according to their preferences.

Roush said that it will offer three versions at launch with prices ranging from $34,847 for the Stage 1T model and $43,051 for the 427RT.

buy an ss camaro for $34k and put $5k in it and make that 427 look slow for less money

hahaha so true. i was thinking the same thing… 2010 camaro is the best muscle car on the market right now

Let's really think about this Pat before we draw a mistaken conclusion. First, the Roush 427R is a street legal race car. It's over 300# lighter, with much better steering and handling dynamics than the Camaro. In a straight line, you “may” be correct. Depends on the how the builder uses that $5k on the Camaro. You could also be disappointed, for the laws of physics and mass will work against the builder. That extra 300# load carried by the base Camaro SS could end up growing to 500#, which would defeat your purpose and waste five grand. Either way, the 427R would blow away your project car on the track. Don't get me wrong- I like the Camaro for the money right now, but you would need about 15 grand to compete with a 427R… and I'd still bet on the Mustang (at least on the track).
