2009 Volkswagen Golf gets five-star EuroNCAP rating

The new 2009 Volkswagen Golf has once again received a five-star rating from the EuroNCAP. Receiving the highest overall rating of any vehicle, the new Gold beat the new EuroNCAP’s stricter assessment criteria. Furthermore, the Golf received the highest overall rating of any vehicle. 

The 2009 Golf received five-stars in all four categories including frontal-crash, rear-crash the side-crash and pedestrian protection.

The new Golf is already on sale in European market and should arrive in the U.S. later this year. On the stateside, the 2009 Golf should be available with gasoline engines ranging from 101-hp to 120-hp. A TDI Golf is also expected to make its way to the U.S. market.
