Ford has announced that the EPA rated fuel-economy for the 2010 Ford Transit Connect comes in at 22/25 mpg (city/highway). The 2010 Transit Connect is powered by a 2.0L DOHC 4-cylinder engine that produces 136-hp and 128 lb-ft of torque. It is mated to a 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission.

“No other vehicle on the road in the U.S. today delivers the combination of fuel economy and useful space as the Ford Transit Connect,” said Rob Stevens, chief engineer. “It’s a unique package, offering a 1,600 pound payload, 135 cubic feet of cargo space and superior fuel economy.”

Sales of the 2010 Transit Connect begin later this summer with prices starting at $21,475.
