EPA rates the 2010 Ford Transit Connect at 22/25 mpg

Ford has announced that the EPA rated fuel-economy for the 2010 Ford Transit Connect comes in at 22/25 mpg (city/highway). The 2010 Transit Connect is powered by a 2.0L DOHC 4-cylinder engine that produces 136-hp and 128 lb-ft of torque. It is mated to a 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission.

“No other vehicle on the road in the U.S. today delivers the combination of fuel economy and useful space as the Ford Transit Connect,” said Rob Stevens, chief engineer. “It”s a unique package, offering a 1,600 pound payload, 135 cubic feet of cargo space and superior fuel economy.”

Sales of the 2010 Transit Connect begin later this summer with prices starting at $21,475.
