The cruze is starting to look dated…this is another problem GM faces with their “catching up to industry standards”. They have to publicize new models way in advance to give investors (and now the government) some hope.

I wonder what the cost difference will be with the Volt and the Cruze? It sounds like the Cruze is going to be a much cheaper gas only version of the Volt?

With the way things have been going with the Volt I wouldnt doubt this outcome. They have advertised technology that they dont have!?

Oh sorry that's Chrylser isn't it!!! One terribly run almost bankrupt car company is just like the next.

is it just me or does the Cruze already look dated, 2 years before its launch, you know compared to say the Insignia!

The next announcement will be that the Flint plant doesn't have the room that they had originally thought was available. It will turn out that the UAW has staked out that space for a organic vegan restaurant and day spa for the rank and file.

The news will push back the delivery of the Vapor, er, Volt to 2012.

On other Volt news, GM will announce that the technology developed for the Volt will have a secondary benefit of curing teen acne. Potential buyers will have the potential to order the Volt with optional ZIT/28 package.

before anyone goes up beating GM and making comments like “They should go bankrupt” i just want to say this is good news for them. At least they are saving money.

With that being said – WHY DIDN'T THE DECIDE THIS BEFORE AND SPEED UP PRODUCTION!!???
