BREAKING: BMW Concept 5-Series Gran Turismo Unveiled

Live pictures of the BMW Concept 5-Series Gran Turismo (also known as the PAS or Progressive Activity Sedan) have been leaked on the internet. The pictures seem to have been taken at a European event for the new BMW Concept.

We expect all the official details and images to be revealed very shortly so stay tuned. The BMW Concept 5-Series Gran Turismo will make its world premiere at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show next month.

It seems like former BMW design head Chris Bangle was also on hand at the event.

    I am intrigued by this car. Interesting shape and lines.

    I won't be surprised if many don't like it, but this is certainly a car that is not for everyone. I also find that most people that don't like Bangle inspired designs are not in the BMW demographic. Well, it costs nothing to be critical.

    Too bad the GT won't be at the Chicago Auto Show.

    This is a LOT better than i expected. At first I thought it would've been ugly and totally pointless…now its beautiful..but is there really a need for this? May be Europeans will buy it

    The nose is very blunt and brutish looking, I like it. Kinda thought the ground clearance would be a little bit higher. The tail lamps look too big but that could just be the angle. Overall a nice looking car, just wonder if there is market for this car big enough for it to be viable.

    i really WANT to like this. better pics might help.
    the rear visibility looks even worse than the X6.

    This was Bangle's last big bangle. I can see why BMW did this: an American headed the design team. But now with him gone, hopefully in the next few years, BMW will stop making these things.

    Such a copy and bad take of the new Panamera with it's hunch back and scrunched, slicey lines…

    AND the paint—what is this?? A copper wire??

    This is production ready—oh I'd say about 80%—and has a really tacky interior..AT LEAST the Fascination Concept seemed far more cohesive than this amateur custom job… THIS is like some flashy restoration on PIMP MY RIDE…

    HORRIBLE—classic BMW good looks are gone forever it seems and even though BANGLE has left BMW—his scars will be seen forever…SOOO SAD…
