The folks at CarScoop have learned that Nissan will unveil a new compact crossover concept at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show. Known as the Nissan Qazan, the compact crossover will go on sale in Europe in 2010.

As reported before, Nissan will build the Qazan at its Sunderland plant in the UK. Details are still sketchy but Nissan says the compact crossover will build “on the success of the Qashqai” with pricing to start £1500 (around $2,673 USD) under the Qashqai.

Engine options will consist of a line of 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol and diesel units. We’ll have more details in March.
