2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class AMG Sports Package Unveiled

Mercedes-Benz announced today that its 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class will be available with an AMG sports package. The package adds a new front apron with large air intakes, AMG side skirts, an AMG rear apron and polished stainless steel tailpipes with twin oval design on 4-cylinder models. The 6 and 8-cylinder models will feature a twin, rectangular tailpipes integrated into the AMG rear apron.
Other exterior upgrades include 18-inch AMG light-alloy wheels wrapped in 245/40 R 18 wide-base tires at the front and 265/35 R 18 tires at the rear and perforated brake discs with silver-painted calipers bearing the Mercedes-Benz logo on the front. Performance upgrades include the sporty DIRECT CONTROL suspension lowered by 15 millimeters.
Inside, the 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class with the AMG Sports Package will feature an AMG sports steering wheel with DIRECT SELECT shift paddles, front sports seats made of DINAMICA microfiber/ARTICO man-made leather and decorative seams for the seat upholstery, door armrests and centre console. You’ll also get AMG badged floormats, sports pedal cluster in brushed stainless steel with rubber studs, a black roof lining and a shift/selector lever in nappa leather with chrome highlights.
U.S. pricing will be available when the 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class goes on sale later this year.
