We guess FoMoCo no longer needs supercar designers. In an interview with AutoWeek, designer Camilo Pardo said that he will be leaving Ford after a 24-year career with the company. Pardo is well known for his design of the Ford GT supercar.

45-year old Pardo said that the final details of leave from Detroit have yet to be worked out so we’re not sure what the reason for his departure is. While with Ford, Pardo worked at the automaker’s design studio and played key roles on the Thunderbird, Lincoln LS and electric-cars. He has also worked at Ford’s design studios in Cologne, Germany and Turin, Italy.

When he’s not at Ford designing some of the best-looking cars Detroit has ever seen, Pardo is known as a fine artist in the clothing and furniture industry.
