Earlier this month it was reported by Japanese media that the production version of the Suzuki Kizashi 3 had been shelved. Following that, a spokesman for American Suzuki said that the reports were false and that the production Kizashi will be coming to the 2009 New York Auto Show. Well, hold on a second – not so fast.

According to a new report by Inside Line, a Suzuki spokesman in Tokyo says that the company is far from making any final decision on whether the Kizashi 3 project will continue as scheduled.”

Inside Line says that everything is still up in there – meaning timing and engine spec and whether or not it will actually debut in New York is still pending.

All we know is that we want to see it New York and think that a production Kizashi 3 sedan will do wonders for Suzuki – wonders that the Genesis did for Hyundai.

DON'T DELAY IT! This is beautiful...dream to become line Hyundai one day
  • Suzuku needs to really push this car and the fuel efficiency to gain any sort of traction or market share. OR they should sell this car to someone like Ford or GM who can put a recognizable badge on it becaus eit is a VERY sleek looking car!!! but the Suzuki moniker takes away fromt he overall effect...

Like the Hyundai Genesis... GREAT car, but its a HYUNDAI!!

I cannot see what Suzuki is aiming to do. On and off..the company doesn't know what it's regional offices are doing..one part of the world says something while the other contradicts..

Stylistically, the car has a BMW 3 Series / Pontiac G8 feel to it. Not bad looking and certainly a compliment to both pontiac and BMW.

Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery.
