As reported earlier last month GM received over 10,000 advance orders for the new 2010 Chevrolet Camaro. However, the automaker is facing a delay in production as Cadence Innovation, a bankrupt parts supplier that is liquidating, holds up parts that are needed for the production of the new muscle car.

According to Rick Conti, owner of EVS Chevrolet in Random Lake Wi., the production of the Camaro has been officially delayed to March 16th, 2009. He said that the one month delay has nothing to do with the Cadence supplier issue since secondary suppliers were already up to speed.

The video with the information has been taken down from Conti’s site; however Camaro5 captured some important highlights. According to Camaro5, the convertible is supposedly back in the production plans and will come as a 2011 model. The Chevrolet Camaro Convertible was previously put on hold.
