Watch out Tesla and Fisker – at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show in March, a Swiss design company Protoscar will unveil its Lampo concept car. Protoscar says that the production Lampo will be powered by two electric motors – one at the front optimized for regenerative braking and one at the rear for maximizing acceleration.

The Lampo makes a total of 268-hp with a maximum torque of 325 lb-ft. The lightweight lithium-ion battery pack has a capacity of 35kWh which allows for a range of 124 miles.

We’ll get more info in March from Geneva along with more pictures.

is there a reason why every every EV has 200hp+? these things have plenty of torque and I would think they would want to sacrifice a little hp for longer range? Or do electrics not work like this?

i don't like how the rear-wheels look like the old Honda Insight hidden under the rear-fenders
