Porsche Cayenne Diesel may come to the U.S., hybrid version due in 2010

While we were bringing you live coverage of the 2008 LA Auto Show, Porsche decided to release the pictures and details of the 2010 Porsche Cayenne Diesel which will go on sale in Europe early next year with a price tag of 47,250 euros ($58,916 USD).

The Porsche Cayenne Diesel is powered by a 3.0L V6 turbo-diesel engine from Audi that produces 240-hp with a maximum torque of 406 lb-ft. Fuel-economy is estimated at 25 mpg with CO2 at 244 grams per km.

So will it come to the U.S.? The Volkswagen Group will bring the Touareg diesel and Audi Q7 diesel to all 50 states in the U.S., so it’s very likely that Porsche will bring the Cayenne diesel to the U.S. as well. A hybrid version of the Cayenne is expected in 2010.
