Joel Piaskowski, the primary designer of the new Hyundai Genesis Coupe, has resigned his position of chief designer for Hyundai Motor America after six years at the company.
Hyundai spokesman Chris Hosford, didn’t know what the reason for Piaskowski resignation was or what he plans to do after he leaves at the end of the month, reports Automotive News. Piaskowski, 40, was named Hyundai’s chief designer in January 2003.
Piaskowski had left General Motors to join Hyundai. He spend 12 years working on the Chevrolet, Pontiac and Buick brands.
