So the word on the street is that NBC has passed up the U.S. version of Top Gear and BBC is now shopping the pilot around to cable “where presenters’ funny mouths, from which often spill foul words, will be more at home. Sounds like something Spike TV would show.

“There are no hard feelings and NBC will be sharing custody of “Top Gear” dog” (whatever that means).

Nonetheless, we’re still eager to know when this damn thing will air and if Carolla, Foust and Stromer will live up to their UK counterparts.

As an American, I am proud that these three will have to wait a little longer to foul our airways and stall out their cars. If any channel had any sense, they'd drop Top Gear right after SUNDAY football and have a ratings hit. (real Top Gear that is.)

Taner Foust would make a good host….he really knows how to drive and he is a decent host. I like his show on the speed chanel “super cars exposed” (i think thats what its called?)

…but i dont know about the other two? Carolla would get anoying
