GM giving more cash back on Red Tag deals

As car sales continue to decline, auto makers continue to offer year-end deals in hopes to move models out of the showrooms. GM’s Red Tag Sale has been going on since November and today the General said that it has upped the amount of cash back it will offer on a couple of 2008 models that are still stuck at dealerships.

Of course most, if not all, of the deals focus on SUVs and pickups with rebates ranging from $5,000 to $10,000 cash back. Some deals that we found pretty interesting in our area (New Jersey)? The 2009 Cadillac CTS 3.6L V6 which originally sells for $49,775, is going for $43,864 after rebates. The 2008 Cadillac Escalade SUV AWD which originally goes for $69,515, is selling for $54,259. Moving away from luxury vehicles we saw a 2009 Chevrolet Traverse Crossover LS which originally sells for $28,990, going for $23,890. A 2008 Saturn Vue FWD which has base MSRP of $22,150, is on sale for $17,730.
