  • •  NV2500 Concept provides preview to the future CV.

Since Nissan pulled out of the 2009 Detroit Auto Show, it unveiled its new NV2500 Concept in Motor City today -it was originally scheduled to debut in Detroit next month. Nissan says that the new NV2500 Concept is a new take on commercial vehicles and is one of the largest concepts it has ever produced featuring a 3-Zone interior and a range of flexible utility and storage solutions.

Nissan says that the NV2500 Concept provides a preview to Nissan’s entry to the CV market in North America - which it plans to enter in 2010. Nissan’s CV lineup in North America will feature three new products in three years along with products from its global stable. Nissan said it is investing a total of $118 million at its Canton, Miss. plant to manufacture CVs.

The new Nissan NV2500 Concept features a “wall-less” mobile office/workspace design which includes a computer workstation, fold-down conference table, storage compartments, cargo/tool tie-downs, six feet of interior height and a side panel that opens out to create a outside standing workshop table.
