You’re looking at the spy shots of the meanest Audi ever built. Testing hear at the Nurburgring in Germany, The Audi R8 GT3 is currently undergoing high-speed testing and will eventually be sold as a race car by 2009.
Power comes from a V10 engine that makes 550-hp. It will be mated to a 6-speed sequential gearbox. Of course the Audi R8 GT3 won’t carry the quattro system to meet GT3 regulations, so you’re probably looking at the only rear-wheel-drive R8 ever built.
Production will take place in very limited numbers so we’re guessing pricing will be very high.
