Starting January 2009, Audi will offer the Chinese market an A4 that is 60 millimeters (2.36 inches) longer. The 2009 Audi A4L will be the first long-wheelbase premium B-segment car measuring a total of 4.76 meter (15.62 feet) with extra space that offers spacious legroom that is comparable to a full-size sedan.

Power comes from a 2.0 TFSI engine that makes 180-hp or a 3.2 FSI that makes 265-hp. The chassis was reworked to Chinese road conditions to provide more suspension comfort.

Production of the Audi A4L takes place at Changchun, China. The car made its debut yesterday and will be shown at the Guangzhou Motor Show on November 18. Sales of the Audi A4L will begin in January 2009.

cool. two views that don't show the extra length at all. why didn't they release a side profile? i assume the extra length goes in the rear seating area. i'd like to see how seamless they made the car look.
