The 2009 Nissan 370Z will probably be the most talked about world debut at the 2008 LA Auto Show next week. While we won’t get to reveal the official press release until Nov. 19th, the LA Auto Show website is running a new image and some technical details on the new 370Z.

The new 2009 370Z is built on a shorter wheelbase, uses lightweight body materials, has 26 more horsepower than its predecessor and is mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission and the worlds first synchronized downshift rev matching system for the 6-speed manual.

The 3.7L DOHC V6 engine will officially produce 332-hp. We’ll bring you more performance figures next week.

Join us on Nov 19th – Nov 20th as we bring you live coverage of the 2008 LA Auto Show.

I dont think it looks bad at all. But it does have a look that could not be appealing to some. It looks like it could be a porsche!

    Im a bit confused..

What is “worlds first synchronized downshift rev matching system for the 6-speed manual?” Is this like an automatic heel-to-toe and/or double-clutch downshift system for a manual gearbox with a clutch??? WHY??? Why dont they just make cars that shifts FOR us? oh wait…..
