As we reported earlier this week, over 9,500 people signed up for more info on the 2009 MINI E. Nonetheless, Mini has clearly stated that it will only be producing 500 units to lease in California, New York and New Jersey area.

At that time, a BMW spokeswoman confirmed that the MINI E will be available for a one-year lease for more than $500. Well, we can now confirm that the one-year lease price will be $850 per month. MINI confirmed the pricing today according to Luxvelocity. The lease includes all maintenance and replacement of parts.

Power for the new 2009 MINI E comes from a lithium-ion battery that provides 150 miles on a full charge. The fully-electric Mini is capable of 204-hp with a maximum torque of 162 lb-ft. 0 to 60 mph comes in at 8.5 seconds with a top speed of 95 mph. The MINI E comes with a wallbox that allows for a quick full charge in two and half hours.
