In early 2005, Giugiaro had a sit down with FoMoCo’s design and chief creative officer J Mays to pitch to him an idea of an Italian tak on the Mustang. The result was the Giugiaro Mustang Concept that made waves at the 2006 LA Auto Show.
After seeing this video of the Giugiaro Mustang Concept doing donuts, we’re wondering why Ford only took a few design cues for the 2010 Ford Mustang that will debut at the 2008 LA Auto Show next month. Honestly, we think they should’ve stuck with the Giugiaro Mustang Concept instead of using it as a minor design influence.
Nonetheless, it is what it is and we’ll have to settle with what we see next month.
