We’ll get to see the 2010 Mazda3 sedan next month at the 2008 LA Auto Show, but true Mazda enthusiasts are awaiting the arrival of the next-generation MazdaSpeed3 (also known as Mazda3 MPS in Europe). The car was recently spotted around the Nurburgring undergoing some final testing before it takes to the Nordschleife.

Rumor has it that the new MazdaSpeed3 will get the 5-cylinder turbo from the Focus ST producing 250-hp. We’d love to see Mazda fit the 290-hp 2.5L 5-Cylinder Duratec engine from the Focus RS instead.
