More than 100 people have applied to purchase the new Aston Martin One-77, a car which the company still has yet to show in its entirety and of which it will only build 77 units of. Not to mention Aston hasn’t even confirmed all the technical details of the exclusive model.

Nonetheless, the car is an Aston Martin and rich car enthusiasts will probably do anything to get their cars on one. Each interested owner will have to put in a deposit of £200,000 in autumn next year. Owners will be dropping more than $2 million to own the car.

What do we know about the One-77 so far? Well, power will come from a 7.3L V12 engine making 700-hp. A rear mid-mounted 6 speed ASM/SSM Automated Manual Transmission will allow for a 0 to 60 mph run in 3.5 seconds with a top speed of more than 200 mph.

Why is it called the One-77? According to Marek Reichmann: “The number 75 just seemed way too obvious and normal. The number 77 was just two lucky sevens.”
