Maserati plans smaller coupe and sedan, kills wagon plans

Along with the new GranTurismo S and the Quattroporte S, Maserati reconfirmed its sportiness with the new GranTurismo MC Corse Concept we saw last month. The 450-hp GranTurismo MC Corse Concept will go on sale next year for those who wish to race in GT3 or GT4 classes.
What else does Maserati have up its sleeve? A smaller coupe and sedan are in the works and sister brand Alfa Romeo could play a major part when it comes to sharing platforms and components. Alfa is working on adopting a rear-wheel-drive platform from Jaguar and if it does, Maserati could also use it to add a sedan smaller than the Quattroporte and a coupe smaller than the GranTurismo. Both are expected to arrive around 2011.
The GranTurismo Cabriolet has been spotted for a while and will arrive late next year to take on the BMW 6-Series. The Kuban GT sporty wagon has apparently been cancelled from future product plans.
