Mercedes-Benz unveiled its Concept FASCINATION today at the 2008 Paris Motor Show. The concept is supposed to hint at the next-generation E-Class and CLK while showing off some of Mercedes’ fuel-efficient technologies.

We still don’t know why Mercedes-Benz is showing the concept version of the next CLK and E-Class in station wagon form, but it’s still better than nothing.

Power for the Mercedes-Benz Concept FASCINATION comes from a 2.2 liter 4-cylinder diesel engine that makes 204-hp with a maximum torque of 369 lb-ft. The same engine powers the new C 250 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY Prime Edition.

Yeah I agree that this car could be on the streets in less than two years. What amazed me is how dated the Lexus looks after looking at this car. I hear some of my car enthusiast friends calling M-B a throw back design focused company. I just don't see things that way.

What's funny is that everything, except for the beautiful colored woods and leather, looks as if it were production ready..
