Mercedes-Benz Gullwing coming in 2010, production to run only 2 years

By the looks of it, you would think that Mercedes-Benz would be ready to show the SLC Gullwing by the 2009 Geneva Motor Show. According to AutoExpress, it’ll take a little longer – a whole year longer. Sources say that the Mercedes-Benz Gullwing won’t arrive in showrooms until 2010 after being unveiled at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show.

The SLC Gullwing will wear an AMG badge and will be distinguished as the brand’s flagship model. Production will run for only two years with a limited 6,000 units annually to keep the cars exclusivity.

Power will come from a 6.3L turbocharged V8 AMG engine producing between 600 to 650 horsepower. Power to the wheels will be transferred via a 7-Tronic automatic gearbox. The 0 to 60 mph run will come in at 3.8 seconds with a top speed more than 200 mph.
