Posted: Sep 23, 2008

It’s September 23rd and that means Chrysler is having its big movie theater meeting today to show dealers a Volt rival. Ray Wert of Jalopnik caught a segment of Chrysler’s CEO Bob Nardelli showing one of the ENVI electric cars on CNBC earlier this morning.
The Tesla-like Dodge you see above is entirely electric and plugs into a standard household outlet for its lithium-ion batter to reach full charge (four hours on 220v or eight hours on 110v). 0-60 comes in under 5 seconds with a range of 150 to 200 miles.
Chrysler’s press site says “Can you feel the electricity in the air? Tune in at 1 pm!” So join us at 1pm when bring you all the details.
