Due a sluggish truck market, the 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 will be hitting dealerships with incentives of $1,000 on crew and quad cabs and $500 for regular cabs. The incentive, which has yet to be advertised anywhere besides Dodge’s web site, will run through Sept.
“We’re committed to remaining competitive with our new truck pricing, and that includes offering modest incentives and lowered MSRP pricing,” said Chrysler spokeswoman Eileen Wunderlich.
The 2009 Dodge Ram starts at $22,170 for regular cab models, $26,225 for Quad Cab models and $32,530 for Ram Crew 1500 models. Dodge also announced that its RamBox option, a lockable storage, will start at $1,895. The company expects 20 percent of the buyers of the 2009 Ram 1500 crew cab to order the RamBox option. Ford’s 2009 F-150 starts at $21,320 for the base XL Regular Cab and goes all the way up to $44,860 for the fully-loaded F-150 Platinum series.
