Whereas hybrids do nothing to change the way consumers think about gasoline (other than a relatively small improvement in MPG over, say, a comparably equipped Honda Civic), the Volt, if bought primarily by people who drive less than 40 miles per day, stands a great chance of making gas stations redundant.  In short, wide scale hybrid adoption will requires the same number of gas stations used somewhat less frequently, while widescale adoption of the Volt could mean a far smaller gas station footprint.  Why don&#039;t more people talk about this?</description>
