We’ve been seeing shots of a Ferrari FXX test mule around Maranello for some time now. Details on the car, which is said to be a successor to the Enzo, have been revealed via a leaked internal memo. Now the authenticity of the memo has yet to be confirmed so take everything you hear with a grain of salt.

The letter appears to be written by Luca di Montezemolo, Ferrari’s president, to a Chinese Ferrari importer. Written in English the memo confirms the new Ferrari, FX150, will be powered by a mid-mounted V8 turbocharged engine producing 794-hp. Mated to a 7-speed gearbox, he said that the car will do 0 to 60 mph in 2.7 seconds with a top speed of 242 mph.

The memo also states that the new model will use a carbon fiber body and chassis with weight being around 1,300kg (2,866 lbs). Prices are expected to be in the €1.2-€1.3 million range.
