The Ferrari California is the latest stallion from the Italian automaker and is the first Italian car to get a section in our Buzz Garage. Designed by Pininfarina, the Ferrari California has a mid-front engine layout with both, the body and the chassis, constructed from aluminum to keep the weight down.
Power for the retractable hardtop convertible comes from a 4.3 liter V8 producing 460-hp. Together with a 7-speed dual clutch transmission the Ferrari California goes from 0-62 mph in less than 4 seconds. Fuel-economy for the California is estimated at a combined 18 mpg. Oh another number fact – the retractable roof opens and closes in just 15 seconds.
Sales of the Ferrari California will begin at the end of this is year in Europe followed by the U.S. next year. Pricing and details will be announced closer to launch.
