Chevrolet Volt to be revealed this month at GM’s 100-year celebration

While Honda is stealing all the headlines today with the Honda Insight Concept Hybrid, a GM source has confirmed with Automotive News Europe that the company plans to show the production version of the Chevrolet Volt at its upcoming 100-year anniversary celebration. The production version of the plug-in hybrid will be shown to employees and the media at GM’s headquarters in Detroit.
“The rumors that a production version of the Volt will show up at the celebrations are true,” said the source.
GM will bring the Chevrolet Volt to U.S. roads in November 2010. Preproduction models will be built starting next year. We recently saw the Volt on the set of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
