The folks at autoblog.it are reporting that Ferrari is currently working on a 430 Scuderia Spider (convertible). We’re going to have to say that this is currently a rumor since one we haven’t seen a prototype around and two it’s going to be interesting to see Ferrari drop weight of a hardtop convertible.

If Ferrari does go ahead with a lighter and fast F430 Spider, it will be powered by the same 4.3 liter V8 engine producing 510 horsepower mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Ferrari is rumored to show the 430 Scuderia Spider on Nov. 5th at Ferrari Challenge at Mugello.
