Currently the 2008 Infiniti ‘M’ is available in two choices including a 275-hp M35 and a 325-hp M45. According to TCC, that is about to change very soon.

The M35 will drop its 3.5 liter V6 in favor for the new V6 VQ35HR engine found in the current G35 sedan. That will give the M35 an additional 28 horsepower for a total of 303 with a peak torque of 262 lb-ft.

No word on whether the M45 engine will be upgraded. But if it does we’d put our money on the 390-hp 5.0 liter V8 from the new 2009 Infiniti FX50.
