Mitsubishi has cancelled plans to produce a production version of the Concept-ZT that it showed at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show. The Mitsubishi Concept-ZT explored the idea of a large-upmarket sedan that would help Mitsubishi step up their game to cars like the BMW 3-Series.

However company executives have decided against a production version saying that there is currently no business case for the car.

The Mitsubishi Concept-ZT is powered by a 2.2 liter clean diesel engine that produces 188 horsepower. Power is transferred to the wheels via a Twin Clutch SST transmission found in the new Lancer Evolution.
