Nissan will be showing its own version of the upcoming Suzuki Alto at the 2008 Paris Motor Show in Oct., AutoCar is reporting. The yet-to-be-named Nissan version will also be built in India and will go on sale in 2009. The Suzuki Alto is a 5-door hatchback that is powered by a 1.0 liter petrol engine with CO2 target of 109 g/km.

The new compact car is the latest deal between Nissan and Suzuki in efforts to exchange models in Japan and North America.

The new car will fit below the next-generation Micra which will be based on Nissan’s new A-platform. No word on whether the car will make it to the North American market as of yet.
