Kicherer SL EVO Black: Based on the 2009 Mercedes-Benz SL 63 AMG

Continuing its obsession with the Mercedes-Benz SL AMG, tuning house Kicherer has released its latest package for the 2009 Mercedes-Benz SL 63 AMG – or better known as the SL K 60 EVO Black. We’ll talk power later so let’s get the aerodynamics and visuals out of the way first.

With an extensive use of carbon fiber on exterior modifications, Kicherer added a new front and rear apron, a new diffuser, new side mirrors, a new lip spoiler on the boot and 20-inch RS-1 aluminum wheels.

Power for the Kicherer EVO Black comes from the 6.2L V8 engine already fitted in the SL 63 AMG. However, engineers have done some upgrades that allows for an extra 40 horsepower for a total of 560 while torque comes in at 494 lb-ft. Rest to 62 mph comes in at 4.3 seconds with a top speed of 199 mph.

Of course, if we had this kind of cash in our bank accounts we’d much rather go for the new 700-hp BRABUS R230 or the 2009 Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG Black Series.
