Mahindra & Mahindra not interested in HUMMER

It’s been reported that GM is talking to Tata Motors and Mahindra & Mahindra to take HUMMER of their hands. Well – not so fast. Mahindra & Mahindra isn’t interest. According to Vice Chairman Anand Mahindra, the Indian automaker will focus on its own models for the U.S.
“There has been a lot of speculation. I want to say categorically we are not pursuing Hummer,” said Anand.
Reuters, on the other hand, is reporting that China’s Hunan Changfeng Motor Co. was in talks with GM but ended talks after it realized that GM is having trouble dropping HUMMER due to high gas-prices.
In the meantime GM prepares HUMMER for sale paying HUMMER dealers early bonuses and starting talks to buy out showrooms.
