Update: GM has confirmed that employee pricing will apply to all 2008 models and the 2009 Pontiac Vibe. Customers can get up to $6,000 cash plus the employee discount.

In a new nationwide sales promotion, the General will be offering employee-level pricing on almost 90 percent of its 2008 Chevrolet models. A dealer that was briefed on the plans revealed some details today.

According to the dealer, the sale starts this Wednesday and will run until September 2nd and applies to all 2008 Chevrolet models. GM will announce its new sales program tomorrow along with more details on the sale.

The dealer also said the GM will offer cash-back on slow selling pickups and SUVs. Man! Only if the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro was a 2008 model instead.
