Toyota is concerned about the Big three. The head of Toyota’s Kentucky plant Steve St. Angelo says that the failure of even one of the Big three will be devastating for Toyota.
“We want everyone to succeed,” said St. Angelo. “Competition is good for us. The customers are the big winners, because it makes all of us better.”
St. Angelo said that most of the suppliers that supply GM, FoMoCo and Chrysler supply the Japanese automaker. So if one of the suppliers has difficulty with either automaker it will create difficulty with Toyota.
Nonetheless – Toyota will not slow down to become the largest automaker in the world. It has already passed Ford to become the second largest automaker in the U.S. and is now on its way to take over GM.
