We love the Jaguar XF. But what we love more is a Jaguar XF with an ‘R’ at the end of the badge. The prototype for the fast kitty made a surprise appearance at the Goodwood Festival of Speed earlier last month. According to AutoTelegraaf, the production Jaguar XF-R will make its official debut in January at the 2009 Detroit Auto Show.
Power is said to come from a 5.0L V8 engine with the ability to pump out 500-hp.
Previous reports have said that power will come from an uprated version of the 4.2L supercharged V8 currently used on the range-topper version of the XF.
