Hybrid owners are the most loyal to their auto brands
According to study by Experian Automotive, hybrid owners are the most loyal in the U.S. automotive market with almost half purchasing a hybrid of the same make when they buy a new car. The study found that 47 percent of hybrid buyers buy a vehicle of the same brand as compared with 35 percent of other automotive buyers.
Experian found that 18 percent of hybrid buyers even end up buying the same model as compared to 12 percent of all automotive shoppers.
Overall loyalty to automotive brands has been slipping but it seems like hybrid automakers have an advantage in attracting new and maintaining existing customers.
Of course Toyota Prius owners were the most loyal with 25 percent returning the cheese-wedge shaped hybrid.
