It seems like Mercedes-Benz and McLaren will team up for more than just one hoorah before they end their relationship. Besides the upcoming Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Speedster - Mercedes-Benz and McLaren are working on a roadster version of the SLR McLaren 722.

Power will come from the same 5.4L V8 AMG supercharged engine producing 650-hp with the ability to go from 0-60mph in 3.0 seconds.

No official release date has been set by Mercedes-Benz but expect it to debut early 2009 along with the SLR Speedster with a price tag of £400,000 ($768,149 USD).
